Increase in pending cases in Immigration Court

There are 1.5 million people with cases pending in Immigration Court, and that number is increasing rapidly. They recently encountered thousands of people that they let in but did not put them into deportation process and now they are being sent court dates.

The number of people coming across the border is fueling a dramatic increase in Immigration Court cases. This means that you are going to see more backlogs, not only for the initial trial, but for the final trial which is the individual trial, where you go before the judge and your attorney to fight your case, and it can take years. In the meantime, there is a lot to do.
