The MPP program is the one that tells us that, when people apply by asylum at the border, they will be sent back to Mexico to await the outcome of their cases.

It began with the President Trump's administration and was one of the most anti-immigrant measures. Now, the Federal Court is forcing the Biden administration to reinstate it. And this is going to affect most of the people who come to the border and are applying for asylum, which is more than 200,000 people a month.

There is a controversy, because the Biden administration instead of saying "we wash our hands, it is up to Mexico to give us the green light to accept these people back, until they tell us they are going to accept them we can do nothing", they have given a date of mid-November to reactivate this program.

So, possibly, they have already reached an agreement behind closed doors to accept these people.

Anti-immigrant measure

This measure demonstrates that not everything can be in favor of immigrants with the Biden administrationThere had to be something against it. This is the most anti-immigrant measure being forced on him by the Federal Court.
