Greetings Jorge Rivera immigration attorney.
We are going to focus on Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador because that is the largest group of Tepesians. More than 300,000 were anxiously wanting to know what was going to happen by October 4th when the automatic extension of work permit.
What immigration has said is that they are automatically extending the TPS and the work permit until December 31, 2022. However, they will not send you a new permit or work card with the new expiration date unless you pay the fee and renew the work permit.
Our recommendation as attorneys is that you renew your work permit so that you have a fresh, new card that expires December 31, 2022 and you can use it to renew your driver's license and/or to present it to an employer.
Don't forget, it is not a TPS renewal, only a work permit renewal. You can also apply for the travel permit and they will give it to you with an expiration date until December 31, 2022.
This is great news! Let's take advantage of it and let's get the documents we need. Let's get our act together so that we have the current documents that are necessary. The two that you can get are work permit and travel permit. We can help you.
All of these things and more, as lawyers we have a complete list. These are things that can cause you to be denied at the American Embassy.
