Greetings Jorge Rivera, immigration attorney.
Believe it or not, there are 2.6 million case backlog. Inbelievable but true. This is 100 times the backlog that there was 4 years ago. And the worst thing is that more than 500,000 of these cases are already approved, just waiting for the Visa to be put in the passport.
Now, after learning about all these backlogs, we wonder: why have they fallen so far behind? There are two reasons:
First, because of the political restrictions, limitations and suspensions of the previous administration. Everything they did to curb immigration basically backfired.
And secondly, because of the restrictions of the COVID locals by country to where each American embassy is located. Local restrictions have a lot to do with the reopening of, not only businesses, but government buildings as well, including American embassies.
At the same time, there are exceptions that we have to keep in mind. The Secretary of the State Department has said, despite all the restrictions, there are two types of cases that will begin to be approved. These cases are: Visa Fiancé (for fiancés and fiancées of U.S. citizens), and Immigrant Visas, i.e., the residences.
They are going to start approving residencies and the Visa Fiancé, a pesar of all travel restrictions in the countries where the American embassies are located.
Even if there are more than 500,000 cases approved, hhere are a total of 2.6 million pending cases. This means that less than 20% of the cases are approved. That is the key. Many people at this time get careless, they let their guard down, they let the case go, they don't follow up, they don't communicate with immigration, and the case gets worse.
We, as lawyers, will push for your case to be approved. We can help you so that your case is one of the more than 500,000 cases that are not simply waiting, but are already approved.
We would like to help you. LPlease call me so that I can help you with your case due to the family petitions who are out of the country.
