How and when can I apply for a travel permit?

The travel permits can be order, but not independently of a case, they must be connected to an immigration case. For example, they can be requested if you have TPS, DACA, an approved asylum, or a pending residency application.

These are some of the different reasons for which one may request a travel permit from Immigration. This travel permit is known as "Advance Parole". ASometimes it gives you a legal entry, sometimes it does not. 

People with TPS, if they traveled with a travel permit before August 20, 2020, were given a legal entry that they could combine with a petition. A petition of a U.S. citizen spouse or child to become a resident.

Dreamers

Today, the Theppesians from Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, and El Salvador, may request a permit for the travel. However, is no longer equivalent to a legal entry. What they can do, however, are the dreamers. Los dreamers, may request a travel permit for three reasons: work, study or emergency.

We, as attorneys, open virtually all travel permits, because the reasons are easy to justify. Are you going to buy a product and resell it in the U.S., sign up for a cooking class, history class, or cultural class? All of these reasons are very easy to document for a travel permit.

Therefore, the dreamers You should take advantage of this opportunity. Why? Because they don't know if in the future their U.S. citizen child can help them get a green card, or their spouse can petition for it. That legal entry is critical to not having to leave the country and make a pardon.  

The dreamers do not think about a travel permit until it is already necessary, but by the time that happens it could be too late.
