The immigration process can be a difficult and complicated process, but there are some tools that can help applicants.
One such tool is the immigration parole. But what is an immigration parole? In this guide, we will discuss what a parole is, how it is obtained, and how it can help applicants.
Greetings Jorge Rivera immigration attorney.
Many people ask me about a parole; parole is the equivalent of a legal entry.
Immigration is giving it to people who enter through the border, not everyone obviously, and it is being given under a section called "212D5" for humanitarian reasons.
They are also given to people when they are released from a detention center, that parole is the one they give you when you return to the United States with a TPS travel permit, daca, it is the same parole they give you when you have a child for example in the armed forces, they also give you parole when you are approved for a U Visa.
There are seven different ways to obtain parole in the United States and for those who are going to ask for it for an American citizen spouse, an American citizen child, parole is very important because it allows you to get residency, and for Cubans, not to mention, because it gives them the opportunity to qualify for the Cuban adjustment and we even make the argument that the Cuban who entered and was released by immigration has the equivalent of a parole and therefore a legal entry and qualifies for the Cuban adjustment.
We all make these arguments, but parole is something you should be asking your lawyer if you qualify and how to get.
